The dream and hope of Nyapin, come in the field of education
The most awaited Catholic English Medium School, �St Jude�s School�, Nyapin, was inaugurated by
Fr Clement Amo, CSC, and blessed by Rev Fr. KJ Abraham, CSC, the provincial
Superior of North east, on 7th June, 2016, in the presence of, Frs.
Jayaselan CSC, Valan CSC, Thomas Lakra (sangram) and the faithful of St Andre
Parish, Nyapin. It was indeed a historical moment for all, especially for the
Holy Cross Fathers here at Nyapin and the parishioners. Holy Cross has done it again though this time
in a humble way. The school will serve as a platform for children to showcase
their talents and to discover new faces of personality with value based
information. It has been an earnest desire of the people for many years, to
have a Catholic school in this part of the state so as to produce not only
successful students but also responsible leaders to the society.
The local people have
contributed much in making every dream and hope coming true in the field of education.
The hard work of both Fr Francis CSC, and Fr Gabriel Darlong CSC, were greatly
appreciated by all those who witnessed the great event. The inaugural program
was filled with many cultural items from different villages showcasing their
talents and concluded with a sumptuous meal for all. As of now, there are 65
students with three teachers and Fr. Gabriel Darlong CSC, as the Principal. The
classes began on 15 June, 2016, with a Holy Mass followed by Parents-teachers
meeting. May St. Jude, (the saint of the hopeless) bless this school.
