Today in 2006 the cause of Servant of God, Theotonius Amal Ganguly, CSC, former Archbishop of Dhaka, Bangladesh, was introduced in the Church. He was educated by the Brothers at Holy Cross High School in Bandura, and later became the first Bengali Christian to earn a PhD, graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1951. He later became the first Bengali bishop in the history of his country. May he intercede for all of us, especially for the needs of the people of Bangladesh!
