PASTORAL VIBES FROM MOHARPARA MISSION
Zonal Youth Program: �Youth Seminars for Rangamura & Ampi Zones were
conducted in Debthang & Gamagu sub-centres on 15 & 29 April 18, respectively.
The office-bearers of DEXCO {Diocesan
Executive Committee Office} for Youth Commission
of Agartala Diocese and the DYD were invited to animate the seminar. The
seminar started with the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Lawrence Darlong
and concelebrated by Rev. Arbok csc {PYA}.
A good number of youth from the zone took part in it with zeal &
enthusiasm. Sharing of life experiences by the DEXCO members, inspired and
energized our youth, in strengthening their faith and prayer life. The seminar came
to a closure with a common meal.
Shepherd's Pastoral
Visits:
Bp. Lumen made his pastoral visit to Moharpara Mission on the occasion of
Corpus Christi Sunday {3 June 18}.
Holy Eucharist was celebrated at Holy Cross School in Twichakma, for the people
of Twidu and Ampi zones. The Holy Eucharist was solemnized by his Lordship
Lumen and concelebrated by Fr. Agi Paul csc and Fr. Arbok csc. A sizeable
number of faithful from the locality joyfully took part in the Eucharist. A
short cultural program was organized by the flock
to felicitate the Shepherd.
Undoubtedly, a common meal marked the end of the day.
Goodbye & Welcome: Holy Cross Notre Dame School at
Moharpara organized a twin-event of Farewell cum Welcome, on 28 July ’18. The
outgoing headmistress, Sr. Cecelia DSouza ssps, was given a befitting farewell
by the school community and administration. Expressing sentiments of gratitude,
the school administration fittingly acknowledged Sr. Cecelia's hard-work and
contribution to the growth of the students and the institution. Simultaneously,
the new headmistress Sr. Jivan Lata Xess ssps was accorded with a warm welcome
by the School community, wishing her very best in her new assignment. An
enriching cultural-event, performed by the students and the teachers, added a
genuine beauty to the day.� �
