Parish activities at St. Andre, Bodhjungnagar
A Charismatic Retreat was organized on 25-26
May 2016 at Bodhjungnagar parish by members of the Jesus and Mary Crusades, a
lay organization from Goa. It was a spiritual renewal for the students and
local Mondoli people. On the second day, the retreat was organized at
Borokwthal church as part of spiritual preparation for the Silver Jubilee of
the Parish.
Pastoral visit of the
Bishop to St. Andre parish: - Most Rev. Lumen Monteiro, CSC, the Bishop of Agartala paid an
official visit to St. Andre Parish from 28
to 29 May 2016. He presided over the solemn mass on the
occasion of the feast of the �Corpus Christi� and exhorted the people to grow
in faith and experience the presence of God in the Eucharistic celebration. He also
urged them to receive the body and blood of Christ with awareness and become
good followers of Jesus Christ. He addressed the parish council members which
includes the presidents and secretaries of each Motha and emphasized of the importance
of leadership in the church along with usual agenda of the parish council. He
also joined the celebration of the feast of the Sisters of Adoration (SABS)
A marriage
preparation course was conducted in the parish on 7th and 8th June
2016. There were 8 couples who attended this marriage preparation course. The
course was conducted by Mr. Raju Debbarmma, Catechist Anando Debbarmma and Fr.
Binoy John, CSC. The two days of preparation helped the couple to receive the
sacrament of the matrimony with proper disposition and understanding.
Joseph Sango gets
together: In
preparation of the silver jubilee of the parish, about 40 members of Joseph
Sango of the parish gathered at Holy Cross Church, Borokwthal on 12th
June 2016. The day began with the Eucharistic celebration at 9.30 am and
followed by the talk given Mr. Dharun Kandhi on the theme, �The role of Joseph
Sango in building up of the Family and Church� The members had an open
discussion on faith.
