The North Eastern Students National Integration Movement is a student based
peace and integration movement initiated by the Fathers of Holy Cross, Northeast
India, NESNIM was held for the 9th times, at Holy Cross School, Agartala, from
29th September to 2nd October, 2016. It was a three day
residential programme on environment, as it focused on the Theme: Green the
Earth & Save life. NESNIM. There were 400 students and 36 Animators
participating from 18 schools, from three states of Meghalaya, Mizoram and
Tripura.
�� Objectives of NESNIM: Today's
students are the future of tomorrow. When we are able to sow in their hearts the
seeds of peace, unity and integration and
mutual respect for one another, we are sure they will grow, bloom and produce
a rich harvest of peace and harmony in their region and among their ethnic
groups. Young
minds are�like
sponges and they are looking for the right input to soak them in. Fr. John
Rogers, a Jesuit of Kolkata Province was specialized in the field of
environment. As a resource person, he emphatically stressed on the importance
of the theme "Green the earth & save life". The sessions were based on
group interactive input sessions which conveyed powerful messages.�
