First Profession {Batch: 2017-18}:
Monday, 28th May 2018 was the day of First Profession for our 10 Novices at our Novitiate in Yercaud. Out of 10, half of them were for our Province of Northeast India; 2 for the Province of South India; and 3 for the Vicariate of Tamilnadu. The Novices solemnly made their First Commitment during the Eucharist, surrounded by 14 priests {including 7 CSCs} and 175 faithful {comprising parents, relatives & local Religious}. None of the Major Superiors was present. The presence of Bro. Aurele Tessier csc, who presented the Insignias to the Newly Professed, added spiritual strength to the celebration. Those from our Province are: Akhsi Kumar Wary {Assam}, Eldho Augustine {Kerala}, Ishongkun Kurbah {Meghalaya}, Shanborlang Mawrie {Meghalaya} and Sharon Piuse {Kerala}. Fr. Mariaraj csc, delegate of the Provincial Superior {Rev. Simon Fernandes csc}, presided over the Profession Mass and received their vows. These newly professed young religious are placed in different places for their post-novitiate formation. Akhsi - in Jongksha {Community Experience}, Eldo - in Mawkynrew {Community Experience}, Ishongkun - in Champhai {Regency}, Shanborlang - in Pune {I BPh}, and Sharon - in Pune {I BTh}. May they all rejoice in their vocation.
