CHRISTO MELA 2015 was organized by St. Mary's Parish, Tuikarmaw on 21 December, 2015 at St. Mary's Church premise as part of advance Christmas celebrations of south Tripura Christian Family or Ecumenical Christmas Celebrations. Honorable Minister Shri Monidra Reang was the Chief Guest and Most Rev. Lumen Monteiro, CSC,DD the Bishop of Agartala was guest of Honor. One of the most important event of this program was the coming together of all the Christian denominations for a common Christmas celebration. There were competitions on Carol Singing.
In his speech, honorable Minister Shri Monidra Reang appreciated the effort of the fathers of Holy Cross for their wonderful ministry especially in the field of Education and also establishing peace and harmony by bringing together the people for a common celebration of Christmas. Jesus Christ bring peace and harmony in the world and we must continue his work. The Bishop congratulated all the participants for the participation and willingness to come and join this advent Christmas celebrations. This is the need of the time to come together as Christian to be united as there are many instances of Christian persecutions are going on around the globe. Great number of people turn out to participate in this occasion.
