6th PROVINCIAL CHAPTER OF THE NORTHEAST INDIA
The members of the Fathers of Holy Cross, northeast province gathered at Provincialate, Agartala for the 6th Provincial Chapter from 19th May, 2018. The newly constructed Sacred Heart Study House, Lembucherra was inaugurated by Bro Paul Bennarczyk, (Vicar and first Councillor and Fr Leopaul Temba (the fourth General Assistance) in the presence of a large number of religious and lay people and it was blessed by Most Rev. Lumen Monteiro, the Bishop of Agartala along with Fr Robert Mathias, CSC, the out going Provincial.
The Province Assembly elected Fr Simon Fernandes as the new Provincial Superior of the northeast province and Fr. Roy Thalackan and Fr Kanikkai were elected as the councilors. We congratulate all of them and wish them best of luck as they take up the important responsibility of leading the Province.
