Sparks of Spiritual renewal at CHAMPHAI MISSION

The grace and blessing of God continue to re-kindle the spiritual activities of Champhai Mission. A Retreat was organized from 22 to 24, Feb.’19 for the Faithful of Hnahlan sub-centre, on the theme: Renewal of Faith. Our own Catechists from Khawzawl {David Lalchhuanawma} and Champhai {John Dingzawna} were the resource persons. The participants were re-enkindled and rejuvenated in their faith. During the Lent, from 22 to 24 Mar.’19, St. Thomas-Branch organized a Seminar as part of their ongoing spiritual renewal. The theme of the Seminar was Sacraments of Baptism and Reconciliation. Pu Anthony Ngurliana and Pu Boniface Rohmingmawia of St. Thomas-Branch were the Resource Persons. From 29 to 31, Mar.’19 the Parish Youth organized a Retreat on the theme: Marriage according to Canon Law cum Social media & its impact. Around 50 youths benefitted from it. Fr. JeromeVungbiakdika {Canon Lawyer} and Catechist Andrew Tlangthankhuma {Aizawl} were the Resource persons. On 3rd April ’19, our sub-centre Zokhawthar was blessed with the presence of the Holy Spirit Sisters. Rev. Sr. Mary Alphonse SHSp {Provincial Superior} graced the occasion with her presence. With the arrival of the Sisters, the number of admission in the school rose to 190 {from 130}. Fr. Simon Fernandez csc {Provincial} officially opened and blessed the house on 5th April ’19.
